Route Shinetsu Shizenkyo
A new style of travel that begins in the mountain highlands
Shin'etsu Shizenkyo Nature Park is a mountain highland area overlapping the Joshin'etsu Highland National Park and Myoko Togakushi Renzan National Park. There are more than 20 diverse routes available, from long rides through the national parks, kayaking on Chikuma River and Lake Nojiri, and the Shin’etsu Trail, one of Japan’s longest trails. From the picturesque scenery of the highlands to hot springs, culture, and local cuisine, there are many ways to experience the charms of Shin'etsu Shizenkyo Nature Park.
Shin'etsu Shizenkyo Nature Park is a regional tourism area composed of nine municipalities: Iiyama City, Nakano City, Iizuna Town, Shinano Town, Yamanouchi Town, Kijimadaira Village, Nozawa Onsen Village, and Sakae Village in Nagano Prefecture, plus Myoko City in Niigata Prefecture.
